March 9, Annual Business Show
Holiday Inn, Route 7, 4-7:30 p.m., free admission and open to the public, over 85 exhibitors displaying products and services from the Rutland Region, door prizes and free parking, for more information call 773-2747.

March 13, Burton Stash Gathering at Bear Mountain
The best free riders in the east and beyond will gather at Killington's Stash to take advantage of the natural terrain and all the creative elements the mountain has to offer.

Riders will be rewarded for picking the best lines and nailing the best tricks on rock jibs, log rides, rainbow trees, giant Shreddies and jibbable buildings

March 13, New England Maple Museum Opens for the Season
New England Maple Museum, the world's largest maple museum, opens for the season. Off-season rates. Groups over 12 can request "Sugar on Snow" by reservation. Call (802) 483-9414 for information. Spring hours 10AM-4PM daily.

March 22, Bryan Adams- The Bare Bones Tour
Rutland, Bryan Adams – The Bare Bones Tour - performs concert at the Paramount Theatre, 30 Center St., 8 p.m., $49 - $69, 775-0903.

March 22, Wacky Winter Games
Join us at Pico Mountain for food, games, and prizes! Registration starts at 9:00AM and the Games begin at 10:00AM. Events include skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and more!
Following the festivities will be an awards party at the Mountain Meadows Lodge.

March 24th Vermont Roots Food Show
Wednesday March, 24, 10AM-4PM Holiday Inn Rutland
Vermont Roots is hosting its annual food show on Wednesday March 24th from 10 to 4 at the Holiday Inn. Visit this festive event and come prepared to have your taste buds tickled with good products created in the region.

March 26, 27, 28- History of Maple Sugaring
A special presentation of the history of maple sugaring coinciding with Maple Open House Weekend. A great way to start or finish your tour of local Vermont Sugar houses. The tasting counter is open to all an d features Vermont specialty Foods and Maple Syrup. The museum will be offering discounts on admissions and 25% off selected gifts.

March 27, Bear Mountain Mogul Challenge
The competition heats up on Saturday as 200 amateur bumpers compete in a qualifying round with the top 32 men and 16 women will return to compete in a head-to-head competition on Sunday. Participants run a dual course with sudden death format; only the winners advance. Athletes and spectators alike will enjoy the Bud Light Beer Festival and concert under the tent at Bear Mountain, insuring a good time no matter how much snow falls! This year’s event is held in conjunction with Snoe.down, the popular music festival featuring the critically acclaimed progressive rock band moe.

March 27-28, Maple Leaf Quilters 2010 Festival of Quilts
Join us for one of the first New England quilt shows of the year.
The Festival of Quilts is a Vermont Maple Open House Weekend Hospitality Partner. Hosted at the College of St. Joseph, Rutland, VT
Featuring, Invitational Quilter, Jane Masenas and Featured Guild Quilter, Paulette Martel. The Festival will always display stunning quilts by Guild members, and the Guild Challenge. An antique Quilt Exhibit featuring Scrap Quilts and Butterfly Quilts will also be on display. Enjoy the consignment boutique, a variety of demonstrations and vendors and a Basket Ticket Auction.
