Killington Hay Festival From September to early November, businesses in Killington display sculpture in a very Vermont medium: Hay. Animals of every kind take shape in the form of huge round hay bales and stand along town roads as participating businesses compete for innovative and imaginative applications of color, design and well, hay. Pick up a guide map at the Killington Chamber of Commerce on Route 4 and then test your skills with the Hay Fest scavenger hunt for clues. Rutland, May through October, Rutland Farmer's Market. Locally grown produce, vegetables, fruits, honey, flowers, herbs, maple syrup and home baked goods. Tuesdays & Saturdays, 9am to 2pm, Downtown Rutland, Depot Park. August 31-September 3, Curve Cowboy Reunion Killington will welcome the Curve Cowboys for their 11th Annual Reunion event August 31-September 3, 2010. The CCR event promotes three fundamental goals: to present a positive view of motorcycling; to promote rider education and safety; and to make a positive impact by contributing to a worthy local group serving children to help them achieve its charitable purpose in the host community. One of the ways the Curve Cowboys do this is to hold a fundraiser for a local children's charity. As a 501 (c) (3) organization with an all volunteer staff the Curve Cowboys have been able to donate over $150,000 in the past 10 years to such charities.
