11/1 Rutland, Chaffee Art Center holds a Poetry Workshop that is designed to give participants the opportunity to show work they'd like feedback on as well as develop new work of their own, 16 South Main Street, 4:30 to 6:30PM for information call Jeanne Marie 802-773-2169.

11/2 Rutland, Paramount Theater, United States Air Force Liberty Big Band. The Rutland Region Chamber of Commerce is pleased to present the 18 piece United States Air Force Liberty Big Band. Tickets are free and are available at the Paramount Theater Box Office, 30 Center St. Downtown Rutland. Limit: 4 tickets per person.

11/2 through 11/4 Killington, The Vermont Inn, Watercolor Art Workshop with Brenda Myrick. Learn or review the basics of applying watercolor washes, brush techniques as well as lifting and correcting mistakes. Workshops include artist demos, tricks of the trade, handouts and step by step paint along with instructor. Class designed for beginners to intermediates. 11/18 Killington, Loaded Turkey (Rail Jam)
Skiers and riders compete on the rails for turkeys, stuffing, cranberry sauce and other prizes.

11/23 Rutland, Paramount Theater The world famous Harlem Gospel Choir performs at the Paramount Theatre, 30 Center St., 8 p.m., Tickets: $10 - $15, for more information call 775-0570.

11/23 through 11/25 Woodstock, Billings Farm & Museum, Visit with costumed guides as they prepare a bountiful 19th century Thanksgiving meal in the 1890 Farm House. Engaging Thanksgiving activities for every age and programs in the parlor each day. Enjoy a traditional homemade treat and a horse drawn wagon ride. 11/23 Rutland, Santa’s Arrival and Tree Lighting Ceremony. The tradition of Santa making his way into Rutland to kick off the holiday season will continue this year with the annual Santa’s Arrival and Tree Lighting at 6:00PM in Depot Park, Downtown Rutland. Rutland City Mayor accompanies Santa in the lighting. The evening also includes wagon rides, clowns, caroling, refreshments and more. As soon as Santa’s official tree lighting duties are fulfilled, he heads to his throne where he visits with children to listen to their Holiday wishes. For more information call: 802.773.2747.

11/30 Rutland, Arts Alive - Visit participating galleries for an Art Hop in downtown Rutland and throughout the city including the Paramount Theatre, The Brick Box, Center Street Artisans, and Chaffee Art Center.
