11/23 Rutland, Santa’s Arrival and Tree Lighting Ceremony. The tradition of Santa making his way into Rutland to kick off the holiday season will continue this year with the annual Santa’s Arrival and Tree Lighting at 6:00PM in Depot Park, Downtown Rutland. Rutland City Mayor accompanies Santa in the lighting. The evening also includes wagon rides, clowns, caroling, refreshments and more. As soon as Santa’s official tree lighting duties are fulfilled, he heads to his throne where he visits with children to listen to their Holiday wishes. For more information call: 802.773.2747.
