WORLD TOP 10 DESIGNATION BY MSNBC NETWORK
KILLINGTON, VT—New Life Hiking Spa at the Inn of The Six Mountains in Killington has earned a “World’s Top 10 Fitness Destination” designation by the MSNBC Television Network.
“Instead of sweating off those pounds on the treadmill, head to New Life Spa Hiking Spa in Killington, Vermont where hikers of all levels can storm the picturesque terrain of the Appalachian Mountains and Long trails,” declared MSNBC on the Sherman Travel website.
The MSNBC award is the latest recognition for New Life Hiking Spa, fitness and weight loss destination celebrating 17 years in its Killington location. Founded in 1978 by director Jimmy LeSage, New Life is one of the nation’s oldest and most established vacation package programs of its kind. More than 500 guests participate in its annual programs, according to New Life.
“New Life focuses on a mixture of hiking, yoga, a variety of other exercise and healthy eating in order to help people begin anew with a lifestyle change that will carry over once guests return to their normal daily lives,” according to New Life.
The Town of Killington is a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts, boasting some of the nation’s finest skiing, snowboarding and Nordic skiing as well as renowned hiking on the Appalachian and Long trails, which converge in the mountains high above the town. In addition to winter sports and hiking, this year Killington will hold the Killington Stage Race, a four-day bicycle race, as well as the Killington Triathlon.
