Welcome to The Killington Chamber of Commerce On-Line

You'll know this is a special destination as you approach, and the seven mountains of Killington rise up to greet you. Whether blanketed in winter white, sporting the deep emerald the Green Mountains are named for, or dazzling in fiery fall color, these mountains know no season.

The Killington Region is an all-season vacation destination. With some of the highest and most varied mountain terrain in New England, Killington is the choice for outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds. Killington Resort is one of the largest ski areas in the world - 95 miles of skiing and snowboarding terrain, many of which also support mountain biking and hiking when the snows have melted. The famous Appalachian and Long Trails transverse these mountains, as do miles of VAST trails, the Vermont Association of Snow Travelers snowmobile and cross country ski statewide trail system.

For less rugged adventure, this spectacular mountain setting is home to two PGA golf courses, with 12 area courses just a short drive away. The Killington Region is known as the heart of Vermont for more than one reason. Ideally located in the center of the state, it is the perfect base for all of your Vermont adventures. While our region offers a multitude of recreation, lodging and dining choices, most all destinations of interest, both North and South, are just a scenic ride away. We can help you plan day trips to some of Vermont's scenic, historic and recreation points of interest.

There are abundant opportunities for live artistic performances throughout the year with numerous events scheduled for summer in the Killington region. The Paramount Theatre in Rutland, The Killington Music Festival, the Rutland Downtown Partnership, the Weston Playhouse Theatre in Weston, Vermont, and the Pentangle Council on the Arts in Woodstock, Vermont offer an assortment of live performances. Killington night clubs, including the Pickle Barrell and the Wobbly Barn have additional offerings. You can enjoy everything from chamber music performed by world-renowned musicians to the latest in popular and rock music. Check out our Calendar of Events or link to our members’ web sites for detailed schedules of events.

The "Heart of Vermont" is embodied in the Killington Region - spectacular mountains, outdoor adventure, quaint New England towns, peaceful farmland, country stores and antique shops. Even a bustling old fashioned downtown can be found in the city of Rutland, only a few minutes away. In fact, our region provides a wealth of shopping, entertainment and dining. So, whether your thrill is a first morning run down a pristine white slope, the challenge of a sweeping mountain course, or a silent moment before a breathtaking view, you must experience the Heart of Vermont - The Killington Region.
