Killington Wine Festival July 22-24, 2011
The Killington Wine Festival will return in 2011 for its tenth year, running from Friday, July 22 through Sunday, July 24.
Over the last nine years, the Killington Wine Festival has become a signature event for the Killington region each July. Participants enjoy a nice summer weekend tasting fine wines from around the world with Killington Peak and the Green Mountains of Vermont as a scenic backdrop. Each year, the Wine Festival continues to grow, building on the excitement and good will created by prior Festivals. Last year's event displayed over 300 wines represented by over 30 wineries and distributors. Over the course of the event, over 500 people tasted wines from around the world. The Killington Wine Festival Events
The Killington Wine Festival Estate Wine Tasting: The Killington Wine Festival Estate Wine Tasting kicks off the Festival on Friday night. It is an exclusive event sampling estate and reserve wine selections from the worlds leading wine makers.
The Killington Wine Festival Grand Tasting at 4,241': On Saturday, with the Green Mountains as a backdrop, sample 400 wines at 2 venues on Killington Peak. Start at the K1 Gondola base where a festive tent welcomes you to begin your sampling adventure. Ride the K1 Gondola to the top of Killington (4,241 feet elevation) and sample more fine wines from around the world.
The Killington Wine Festival Bubbly Brunch: Before leaving Killington on Sunday, enjoy a world-class brunch while sampling sparkling wines from across the globe.
The Killington Wine Festival Wine and Nine: Close out your Killington Wine Festival weekend with Wine and Nine, a special golf outing at the Green Mountain National Golf Course in Killington, which was voted the #1 Public Golf Course by Golf Digest. Enjoy specially selected "Golf Friendly" wines, 9 holes of golf with friends (scramble format, cart included) a light dinner and awards based upon your "prowess" on the links.
Killington Wine Festival - Other Tasting Events: Enjoy a welcome party complete with dinner and wine, live music and great giveaways, and a wine tasting dinner, among others!
