KILLINGTON, VT –   In conjunction with the It’s Cooler in the Moutains Free Summer Concert Series, area businesses are working to give regional residents and tourists even more reasons to spend their day or weekend in Killington.  In partnership with the Town Office of Economic Development and Tourism, Killington businesses are promoting a series of special recreational, retail, dining and lodging offers to bring visitors to town this August.  The four-part concert series - beginning with Japhy Ryder on August 7th – will kick off with a plethora of fun options for families and adventure seekers.  Deals include:

-       True Wheels Bike Shop: 15% off bike gear and $10 off Specialized Pitch Pro bike rentals; will also offer a Q&A / bike display on select concert Saturdays.

-       Killington Resort Sports, Lodging, Golf, and Pico Adventure Center:  Call 1-800-621-MTNS and mention free concert series to get discounts on summer attractions

-       Base Camp Outfitters: Free Disc Golf from 2- 4 PM.  Just mention, “Its Cooler in the Mountains.”

-       Greenbrier Gift Shop: Free Vermont food tastings in store from 2-4 PM on concert Saturdays. 775.1575

-       Green Mountain National Golf Course: $70 for 18 holes, including cart, for concert goers who mention “It’s Cooler in the Mountains” on Saturdays in August before 2PM.

-       Casey’s Caboose: Weekly food and dining specials for concert guests. 422-3795

-       Lookout Tavern: Weekly drinks and dining post-show on the rooftop deck.

-       Mogul’s Sports Pub: Special $13.99 lobster dinners on Saturday evenings. 422-4777

-       Outback Pizza: Live entertainment, 1/2 price pizza after 9 PM, and group & family discounts. Call 558-3634

-       Birch Ridge Inn: Two-day stay with dinner post-concert and full Vermont breakfast for two at $299. Call 422.4293

-       Comfort Inn Killington: 15% off lodging and free upgrades with mention of the concert.

“By partnering with local businesses, we’re able to give visitors more reasons to spend their Saturday with us” said Seth Webb, Director of Economic Development and Tourism for the Town of Killington.
The Its Cooler in the Mountains free Summer Concert Series will feature Japhy Ryder on August 7, Twiddle on August 14, Roots of Creation on August 21, and Barefoot Truth on August 28. The free series will be held outdoors at the K-1 Lodge from 4-6 PM, where guests can lounge on the grass, cool down after a day of mountain biking and outdoor activities, or enjoy a cold drink on the Killington patio.
