Killington Town-Wide Driving Tour
The Killington Town-Wide Driving Tour (approximate time: 45 minutes)
Directions:
From the Killington Chamber of Commerce, head east on Rt. 4 and drive .6 miles before turning right, on to the Killington Access Road. Follow the access road until you see signs for the Killington Grand Hotel. Take a left onto East Mountain Road and drive past amazing views for miles before reaching Route 4 again. Take a Left onto Route 4 heading west, you will see the Skyeship Gondola on your left. Drive on Route 4 for a few miles before taking a right onto River Road, where a uniquely Catholic and Protestant Church sits on the corner. This road turns to dirt before connecting with Route 100. If you feel the need to stretch your legs, hop out of the car and walk down the boardwalk to Thundering Brook Falls, on the left hand side after you pass the Town Hall. At the road's end, turn left and head South on Route 100 where you will drive past Green Mountain National Golf Course, the number one public course in Vermont! If golf isn't your thing then there are other sites along Route 100 South, such as Gifford Woods State Park, which is complete with camps and trails for hiking as well as the serene Kent Pond, a perfect place for a picnic or a nature walk! As you approach the end of Route 100, you will merge again with Route 4. The Killington Chamber will be on your left. Congratulations, you have just completed a figure-eight around the town of killington!
