Farms & Agricultural Museums

Farms & Agricultural Museums

One of the great things about Vermont is its close connection to agriculture. There are 1.34 million acres of land in Vermont devoted to agriculture. Vermont ranks seventh in the nation for the production of apples and has led New England in honey production. There are about 7,000 farms across the state, with nearly 1,500 of those being dairy farms that produce 2.6 billion pounds of milk & 100 million pounds of cheese annually. Vermont ranks first in the nation with one of its sweetest products, maple syrup & leads New England in the production of beef.

There are many great ways to experience & enjoy this side of Vermont's culture, whether it's visiting a working farm or touring a museum dedicated to the history of agriculture.
